Iverjohn 6mg Ivermectin Oral Tablets

Iverjohn 6mg is an oral antiparasitic medication formulated with active Ivermectin, belonging to the macrocyclic lactone class of drugs. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of parasitic infections, including intestinal strongyloidiasis caused by Strongyloides stercoralis and onchocerciasis (river blindness) caused by Onchocerca volvulus. It is also utilized in managing systemic infestations such as scabies and pediculosis (head lice).

Mechanism of Action

Ivermectin acts by binding selectively and with high affinity to glutamate-gated chloride ion channels in invertebrate nerve and muscle cells. This leads to an increase in cell membrane permeability to chloride ions, causing hyperpolarization, paralysis, and death of the parasite.

Dosage & Administration

• Administration: Take orally on an empty stomach with a full glass of water (at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal).
