Amoxyheal-CV 1000 combines amoxicillin, a penicillin-type antibiotic, with clavulanic acid, a beta-lactamase inhibitor. Amoxicillin works by interfering with bacterial cell-wall formation, while clavulanic acid helps protect amoxicillin from certain bacterial resistance mechanisms.
This combination is prescribed for susceptible bacterial infections involving areas such as the respiratory tract, sinuses, ears, urinary tract, skin and soft tissues, and certain dental, bone and joint infections. The choice of antibiotic should depend on the infection, suspected or confirmed bacteria, patient factors and the treating doctor’s assessment.
