Wegovy 2.4mg Injection contains semaglutide, a long-acting GLP-1 receptor agonist administered once weekly by subcutaneous injection. It is used as part of a comprehensive weight-management program that includes a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.
Semaglutide works by activating GLP-1 receptors involved in appetite regulation and glucose metabolism. It can increase feelings of fullness, reduce hunger and food intake, and slow gastric emptying, helping support weight reduction over time.
2.4mg is the recommended maintenance dose for many adults after gradual dose escalation, provided it is tolerated and prescribed by a healthcare professional.
Prescription Required.

| Weeks 9–12 | 1mg |

Dose escalation is intended to improve gastrointestinal tolerability. If significant gastrointestinal symptoms occur, escalation may be delayed according to the prescribing information.
How It Works
Semaglutide mimics the action of GLP-1, a naturally occurring hormone involved in appetite and food-intake regulation. By activating GLP-1 receptors, it can increase satiety and reduce hunger and calorie intake.
Administration
Wegovy 2.4mg is administered once weekly by subcutaneous injection, usually into the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. It may be administered with or without food, and injection sites should be rotated.
The 2.4mg maintenance dose should generally be reached through the prescribed gradual dose-escalation schedule rather than started abruptly.
