Mounjaro 2.5mg Injection contains tirzepatide, a dual GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide) and GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) receptor agonist. It is administered once weekly by subcutaneous injection.
Tirzepatide works through two complementary incretin pathways. It enhances glucose-dependent insulin secretion, reduces glucagon secretion, slows gastric emptying, and influences appetite and food intake. These effects can help improve blood glucose control and may result in weight reduction.
2.5mg is the recommended starting dose and is generally used during treatment initiation to help the body adjust to tirzepatide. It is not intended as a maintenance dose. Dose increases should be made according to the prescribing healthcare professional’s instructions.
Prescription Required.
